Develop quality products that position us as a global benchmark
Jordi Molner
In recent years, new trends have appeared on the market that cover different and increasingly more specific treatments. At the same time, the sector demand has expanded its customer base, especially over the last 5 years, when more and more people have access to aesthetic treatments. In my opinion, this is due to the social network boom. This has forced both companies and specialists to become more competitive, perform better treatments and, above all, focus more on details, developing new technologies. Because they are an essential part, both regarding the development of new products, including new raw materials and devices specifically developed for the sector. Furthermore, investment in development is vital.
Within the evolution we have been implementing, Dermica Laboratoires has been expanding its portfolio in order to cover all the needs of the doctors who work in the aesthetic medicine field, incorporating a wide range that allows professionals to carry out their work without having to search for other products. It has developed strategic partnerships with technology companies in Japan and Korea that have helped our company achieve quality and excellence. Exports have been key to our company’s growth. International partners in markets such as China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Argentina, etc. have made us a truly global company.
As to what was achieved last year, I’d say that there has not been only one important milestone, but two: the commitment to training in other countries such as Morocco, creating our African Research Aesthetic Academy, a centre for the dissemination of aesthetic medicine knowledge in Africa, covering not only the countries of the Maghreb, but the entire Francophone zone. In addition, this past year we launched our own injectable cross-linked hyaluronic acid, our FillZon filler. This has meant an enormous development effort over the last 3 years, in which almost all our company departments have been involved, having to recognize their enormous professionalism in carrying out this challenge that will position us as a global benchmark.
